Les Norris is a South Florida musician and filmmaker known for his raw, energetic approach to punk rock and independent cinema.

A co-founding member and lead singer of Radiobagdad, Norris helped steer the band through a prolific run of indie releases in the 1990s. The group’s final album, 665 Neighbor of the Beast, was produced by Stephen Egerton (All) and Bill Stevenson (Black Flag, Descendents). Radiobagdad shared stages with notable acts including Bouncing Souls, Biohazard, Mudvayne, Circle Jerks, No Use for a Name, Peter and the Test Tube Babies, LOAD, Hot Water Music, and many others.

In 2001, Norris wrote the screenplay for the cult film GORNO (an American Tragedy), which he co-produced with Oliver Assiran (*Flocking Margaret*, Warner Bros.). The movie premiered at the 2004 Washington DC Independent Film Festival and has enjoyed over a decade of distribution through Brain Damage Films. Norris performed all the acoustic background music in the film, with the score composed by Scott Putesky (Marilyn Manson). His follow-up film project was The Fog of War.

Norris returned to music with his debut solo 7-song EP, Son of a Son of a Drunk (2014), recorded at Studio 13 with renowned producer Jeremy Staska (New Found Glory, Poison the Well, Malevolent Creation, Marilyn Manson, and others). An acoustic version of “The Rum Bum” from the EP appears in the comedy film 55 and Older (R-Squared Films).

In 2022, he released the single “Sears & Applebees” featuring special guest JP Soars on cigar box guitar. The track became the lead song on his 2024 EP, Old Demons Don’t Die — a stripped-down, more acoustic-sounding release compared to his debut. Throughout 2024, Norris performed frequently, delivering songs from both EPs, select Radiobagdad favorites, and punk acoustic covers of bands like Dag Nasty, Descendents, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Squirrel Bait, Ramones, and more.

In 2025, Norris began recording his third EP, Welcome to Ft. Liquordale!, once again at Studio 13 with Jeremy Staska. This release will complete his “drunken trilogy” and is slated for a late 2026 arrival, followed by his debut full-length album in 2027.

With a career spanning loud punk roots, DIY filmmaking, and introspective acoustic storytelling, Les Norris continues to create authentic, unfiltered art from South Florida.
